Recent Gradings

Some students were unable to grade when we held a special grading in October 2006 with

Kaicho Akamine and Shihan Kuniyoshi.  To rectify this we held a couple of Dojo gradings

and deserved congratulations go to the following: -

Cameron Williams  -  10th Kyu 3 Mon (White belt with black stripe)

Sam Goldsmith  -  10th Kyu 2 Mon (White belt with blue stripe)

Jack Williams  -  10th Kyu 1 Mon (White belt with Yellow stripe)

Due to the special October grading there will be no grading held in December and we will

set four dates in the New Year.

Activity Mornings

We have arranged three-activity morning for the week just before Christmas. The dates

are set as follows: -

Monday 18th December.

Wednesday 20th December.

Friday 22nd December.

As with the previous mornings these will be open to our karate members and if they like

they can bring friends along.  The cost of each session is £6.50 for karate members and

£7.50 if you bring a friend.

Please ask for the ‘Activity Days’ leaflet for further details. Payment and commitment

will be welcome before the event because as with the karate the hall has been booked and

payment will be in advance. This will definitely give you extra time to get in the final

Christmas shopping trips in peace!

Tesco Sport Vouchers

Thank you to everybody for the vouchers received as we have about 800 so far. This

was a last minute bid as we have always thought the vouchers were for schools only but

we have registered as Camberley Martial Arts, a club for kids. If anybody has any of the

Tesco Sport vouchers left then we are able to cash these in for equipment.

Licensing

Thank you to all students that have applied and received their licenses. Every student

within the club is now licensed apart from the new members just starting out. This

showed a great commitment and at the recent GKI AGM in Birmingham, Paddock Hill

Dojo is now the third biggest club in the association.

Kids Christmas Party

To end the karate year don’t forget the Kids Christmas party on Thursday 21st December

between 4 and 6 pm. This has now been organised and is open free of charge to all our

karate members.

Further details will be announced nearer the time with an attendance form to complete. If

some of the mums or dads wish to help out then please let us know as we intend to have

some great fun to get Christmas started.  Again this will be a first for the club so any ideas

will be eagerly accepted.

Dojo Closed

The dojo will be closed on Wednesday 20th December 2006 (that means no karate on

the Wednesday for the children – Boo). The Christmas & New Year break will be from

Wednesday 20th December 2006 and we will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January 2007.

New Website

We are currently working on our new web site, which will be going live shortly. Details

will follow but the web address for the time being is www.camberleymartialarts.com and

we hope to load it with all the information you require for the dojo.
