GKI 13th Annual Championship
This special newsletter is to acknowledge all of our students who entered the 13th GKI annual championships on Sunday 29th April 2007 to proudly represented Paddock Hill Dojo. Full of nerves all the students were brave to stand up to compete in Kata, Kumite and Team Kata.

Up first was the Junior Individual kata section and everybody entered the kata section with great enthusiasm.

In this division we had all top six places with a play off between Steven and Bradley for Bronze Medal.

Next was the Junior team kata which unfortunately had sixteen competing teams from 10th kyu to Shodan so congratulations have to go to all our teams who competed very well doing Geki Sai Dai Ichi against much higher grade kata.

Well done to everyone in the teams for trying so hard. We also had several comments back regarding the good etiquette shown by all.

Next up was junior individual kumite. This section was divided into boys and girls divisions, and then further split with age.

The kumite was again eagerly awaited and congratulations to all those that entered.

In the Adult section we had two competitors entering the Men’s Individual kata section.

The final section in which we competed was the Men’s Individual Kumite for the following division

Congratulations to all those that competed. You can all hold your heads up high as you have all put in a wonderful effort in your own personal achievement and also on behalf of Paddock Hill Dojo.



We would also like to say a special thank you to all the Mums, Dads and supporters that travelled to Chichester in order to support Paddock Hill Dojo. You certainly did “Push it to the limit”.
