01-Jan-2014: Happy New Year 2014
Well what a very busy and successful 2013 for the Dojo, EGKA, IOGKF & RKS.
Quietly looking back at all that has gone on personally throughout the
year I am extremely grateful to all the members and parents in the
dojo. I have seen growth both in the numbers at the dojo and also
from every individual in their personal goals and achievements. On
the karate dojo front we had several firsts in our first Adult Nidan -
Robert Harcup, our first Junior Nidans - Jon Anstee in July, followed by
Daniel Anstee in December, new Adult Shodan - Devin Reilly and new
Junior Shodan - Emma Wiltshire. On the kobudo dojo front we had
our first Sandan - Gabriel Weyman. Congratulations to everyone
that passed a panel grading or at the dojo you all done the dojo proud. We
broke a record of 22 adults training on one night, we went to several
gasshukus & competitions throughout the year and several members of
the dojo experienced their first overseas gasshuku in Scilly. The
EGKA also successfully celebrated their 40th Anniversary with Higaonna
Sensei and Nakamura Sensei in attendance and once again the event was
well attend by our biggest group attending the event.
So
it
is with all my heart I am wishing all my family, friends, students and
their families a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year 2014.
Wishing that all your dreams come true and that the year of the horse
2014 will be a good
one for you all and it is certainly looking likely to be another busy
year for the Dojo.Do not forget for current updates and news for members sign up to our Facebook page Camberley Martial Arts. |
