Activity Mornings

Don’t forget we have arranged three-activity mornings for the school holiday week

just before Christmas. The dates are set as follows: -

Monday 18th December.

Wednesday 20th December.

Friday 22nd December.

The times are 10 am to 1 pm for each of the mornings.

As with the previous mornings these will be open to our karate members and if

they like they can bring friends along. The cost of each session is £6.50 for

karate members and £7.50 if you bring a friend.

Please ask for the ‘Activity Days’ leaflet for payment and we would definitely

welcome the commitment before the events. This will give some of you a few extra

hours to get in the final Christmas shopping trips in peace!

Licensing & GKI AGM

There are a few outstanding licenses for new members in the pipeline. Please don’t worry they will hopefully be

with you before the Christmas break.  Also just for information following the recent GKI AGM Sensei Andre has

taken up the post of treasurer for the Association and Sensei Daphne has also taken on the post of Licensing and

Certificate officer.

Tesco Vouchers

Don’t forget last chance to hand in those stray Tesco Vouchers, as we need to

apply for the equipment by 12th January 2007.

Kids Christmas Party

Don’t forget the most important event of the year - the Kids Christmas party -

on Thursday 21st December between 4 and 6 pm.  This is open free of charge to

all our karate members.  It will have some fun and games like all good parties

but there will also be a serious side when we look back over our first dojo year.

Please ask for the ‘Christmas Party Attendance Form’ as again we would welcome

the commitment prior to the event to cater for the numbers.

Some mums have already volunteered help with the foods so thank you and a food

list will be circulated much like the ones for help with the schools?

Unless you have a very good reason like “I am flying to Sweden that day for

Christmas” we would suggest you be there or be square.

Corewire Sponsor

We would like to publicly thank Mr Steve Hunt, Managing Director of Corewire Limited in Ash Vale for a recent

donation to the dojo funds. This kind gesture will enable us to purchase some more equipment for the club.

New Website

The new club web site will go live sometime hopefully in December. Keep checking

the address: www.camberleymartialarts.com as it will list all the information

you want regarding the dojo.

New Monthly Subs

Separate details will follow shortly for the New Year.

Ladies Karate

Several of the mums have indicated that they would be interested if we ran ladies Karate / Self defence classes.

What better time to start this than the New Year when all those Christmas pounds have been added and the first

resolution is to get fit!  Please contact us for more information on dates and times before we start advertising.

Dojo Closed

The dojo will be closed for children on Wednesday 20th December 2006 (that means

no karate on the Wednesday for the children – Boo), as this was to facilitate the

ballet Christmas party. The last Adult training before the break will be the

evening of the 20th December. The Christmas & New Year break will be from

Wednesday 20th December 2006 and we will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January 2007.

Gradings

The Grading dates for the New Year have been set for the following dates: -

Monday 5th March 2007

Monday 4th June 2007

Monday 10th September 2007

Monday 10th December 2007

Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year

Sensei Andre and Sensei Daphne would like to wish all our students and their families a Merry Christmas and a

very Happy New Year. We both have had great pleasure in instructing and seeing the students achieve their own

rewards.

THANK YOU one and all for your support.
