Saturday Training Session:

12:00 to 16:00 - All adult/cadet grades
12:00 to 14:30 - Juniors up to 13 years old at the discretion of their instructors.

Saturday Grading Registration

11:00 to 11:45 - Grading registration for both Junior/Cadet grading candidates
16:00 to 17:00 - Grading registration for Adult grading candidates

Sunday Training Times:

09:00 to 12:00 - All junior, cadet and adult grades

All students intending to grade on Sunday must attend the Saturday training sessions. Adult students intending to grade on Sunday afternoon must also attend the morning training session.

Grading: Sunday morning:

09:00 to 12:00 - All juniors and cadets testing for 1st Kyu and Dan grades

Grading: Sunday afternoon (Adults testing for 1st Kyu and Dan grades to Sandan)

12:30 - 12:50 Written examination
13:00 - 16:00 Adult Grading

Training Fees:

Saturday Sunday Both Days
Adults (18yrs & above): £35 £20 £45
Cadets (14yrs to 17yrs) £20 £15 £30
Juniors (13yrs or younger) £15 £15 £25
Family concession: Only first two highest fee-paying members of the immediate family pay - the others train for free.

Grading Registration Process - Please read carefully.

Please ensure that you have pre-registered your name with your instructor by the 31st May and all Dan grading candidates must have submitted a brief karate CV. All candidates MUST have attended at least two EGKA courses in the 12 months prior to their grading (this Summer Gasshuku does not count if you are grading). Tournaments do count for Juniors and Cadets (under 18 years).

Please retain your grading form and bring it with you to hand into the grading registration desk on the day of the grading.

Grading Fees

Candidates will be able to register at the Grading Registration Desk and pay for their gradings at the times indicated. For administrative reasons we cannot accept cheques for amounts that combine training and grading fees.

Grading fees will not be refunded if a student does not pass. That student will be given a 50% reduction in the grading fee when they retest at either of the next two grading sessions.

Every person applying to grade must ensure their EGKA membership is up to date and in force over the grading weekend.
